LADY THERESA RUBIN

Lady Theresa Carrie (Stevenson) Rubin, affectionately known as “Rita”, has been married to Apostle Fred Rubin for forty years, and is the First Lady of the Community Refuge Church located in Manalapan, New Jersey.
She is proud of her great accomplishment to the mother of three sons, Lee, Kevin, and Brian, who have obtained college degrees from Penn State University, Lehigh University, and Northwestern University, respectively.
Never willing to dismiss the dream of having a college degree, at the age of 50, she became a student of the WL Bonner College located in South Carolina. She fulfilled her dream by obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies in June 2005.
Lady Rubin is multi-talented and functions in numerous capacities, including Homemaker, Mother, Pastor’s Wife, First Lady, Counselor, Mentor, Sister, and Friend. Perhaps her greatest accomplishment is displaying her gift of hospitality to the members of the congregation and community. If anyone is in need she is there, if you are displaced she is there.
Her scope of activities includes: traveling with her husband to various preaching engagements; visiting the sick in the hospital; home visits; traveling for her own speaking engagements; as well as continuing her education at Columbia International University located in Columbia, South Carolina all while taking care of her husbands needs and her home.
No matter how busy, she still finds time to come home on the weekend, go to the grocery store, and prepare a full course meal for twenty or more people after church on Sunday. Despite her demanding ministry schedule, it is not unusual to smell the aroma of a delicious meal as you walk up to the front door of her home. From the time you arrive at her house, there is a feeling of warmth and love, and you know Lady Rubin’s house is by all means a HOME.
Lady Rubin is truly blessed and thankful to God every day for all of the experiences, joys, and pains of life. As she continues to press toward the mark, she is grateful for His ongoing mercies, grace and strength.
